This system can be used on carpeted floors in situations where you do not have access to the flooring joists (underneath the subfloor).

Steps for use:

1. Locate the squeak and find the supporting joist using the joist finding screw (included with kit).

2. Place the fixture on the floor and using the fixture hole as a guide, drill in a counter snap screw.

3. Remove the fixture and use the side of it to easily snap the head off the screw.

4.The end result is a strong screw support which is counter sunk below the surface of your actual flooring. The screw and hole will be unnoticeable in the carpet.
