Tigerwood is known and named after its unique black striping. Variation with this exotic wood species is extreme, ranging from very blonde pieces to dark brown and black graining. This black graining really plays by no rules and can appear anywhere on the board and in any pattern. With age and exposure to light, the extreme variation will mellow out a bit, leaving the floor a more medium brown color.
