Hosking Hardwood Flooring Inc. was established in 1939 by Thomas Hosking whose honesty, hard work and woodworking craftsmanship helped to make Hosking Hardwood Flooring a huge success here in New England.
Jeff Hosking started working with his father back in the late 1960’s. Instinctively, Jeff acquired the traits that had made his father a successful business man in his field --- including honesty, skill and in-depth knowledge of hardwood flooring. As the business grew, many prominent architects, builders, and interior designers from across the country would request his help and know-how on wood flooring projects.
If you are one of the many fans of the PBS television series "This Old House," you have probably seen Jeff Hosking and his crew on national TV showing viewers how to install, sand and refinish hardwood flooring. Jeff has been the hardwood flooring consultant for "This Old House" since 1984. He has also been the hardwood flooring consultant and a regular on the WHDH Boston radio talk show called "The House Doctors." He has co-written chapters in "This Old House" books and has written a multitude of hardwood flooring articles for home improvement magazines, including "This Old House" Magazine. Over the years, Jeff's work has also been highlighted in such notable magazines such as "Metropolitan Home," "Practical Homeowner," "Country Home" and "Home Magazine."
In addition to installing and consulting on hardwood flooring, Jeff Hosking also acted as an independent hardwood inspector for major companies and private individuals. Hosking Hardwood Flooring is also a member of the National Wood Flooring Association.
Hosking Hardwood Flooring has expanded to two large flooring showrooms/warehouses in Massachusetts in North Attleboro and Walpole. In 1997, Jeff wanted to expand his reach to homeowners nationally. He saw a need for getting the correct information to consumers. While he was at it, why not give homeowners a place to find all the top products at the best prices? It was then that the website, www.hoskinghardwood.com, was born. With their commitment to customer service as well as product knowledge, they quickly became one of the leading flooring internet retailers in the country.
